The Greater Ramsey UNICO Chapter Scholarship recipients are Michael Cirilli and Elaine Les.

The Greater Ramsey UNICO is proud to award two scholarships every year to deserving seniors attending college in the fall;                        The Lawrence Inserra Sr. Memorial Scholarship (funded by the Inserra Family and UNICO) and The Greater Ramsey UNICO Scholarship.

This year's committee was comprised of teachers, business men and women and community volunteers who, over a two week period, reviewed each applicant, looking for those who went above and beyond, had many extra-curricular activities and exemplified UNICO's motto of "Service Above Self."  The students must also be of Italian heritage, of good character and have been involved in  school and community activities during their high school tenure.

There were two recipients for each scholarship, and Greater Ramsey UNICO's President Roberta Re' Kleinbard presented the awards. Congratulations to all four recipients and best of luck to you in all you do!

Scholarships

Each year, our chapter bestows the Brian Piccolo Award to two high school athletes that best exemplify the courage, loyalty,
teamwork and dedication of the late Brian Piccolo. Honorees are nominated by their coaches.

The 2016 Brian Piccolo Award nominees are Mike Cirilli and Lia DiPiazza, both from Ramsey High School. Mike and Lia excelled athletically and academically; their leadership qualities leading Ramsey to successful seasons on the field and boosting them both to excellence in the classroom.

Congratulations to Mike and Lia! Best of luck to both of you in all your future endeavors!

The Lawrence Inserra Sr. Memorial Scholarship recipients are Ashley Silecchia and Zachary Becher.
